Morrisons, Too Good To Go Launch Chilled Surprise Bags
Morrisons and Too Good To Go launch chilled surprise bags, offering £12 worth of dairy, deli, meat, and seafood for £6.

Morrisons and Too Good To Go have introduced Chilled Surprise Bags to assist customers in saving on dairy, deli, meat, and seafood products. Priced at £6, each bag contains items valued at £12 at full retail price. This initiative, launched on 4th November 2026, marks a significant expansion of their partnership, allowing customers to access a wider variety of surplus food at a reduced cost.
Currently available at 25 London stores, this new offering complements the existing surplus food range. Customers can reserve a bag via the Too Good To Go app and collect it within a designated time frame. This convenient process ensures that shoppers can easily participate in reducing food waste while enjoying substantial savings.
Significant Progress in Food Waste Reduction
The partnership has achieved a notable milestone, redistributing over 4 million meals since 2019. Chelsea Kerr, Managing Director at Too Good To Go, said: “Reaching four million meals saved with Morrisons is a brilliant milestone, but we’re particularly excited to build on that progress by expanding the range of food customers can rescue. “The launch of Chilled Surprise Bags gives even more people the opportunity to discover great food at a reduced price, while helping ensure good food is eaten, not wasted.”
This collaboration has also resulted in the redistribution of food worth more than £32 million. David Scott, Corporate Affairs Director at Morrisons, added: “Reaching four million meals saved with Too Good To Go is a fantastic milestone, and we’re pleased to build on this progress by expanding our offer with Chilled Surprise Bags.”
Broadening the Scope of Rescued Food
The introduction of Chilled Surprise Bags enables customers to access a broader range of rescued food.
This expansion builds upon the existing partnership, which operates across 495 supermarkets and selected Morrisons convenience stores nationwide. The widespread availability of the initiative ensures that a larger customer base can participate in the fight against food waste.
Financial Advantages for Morrisons
The initiative has yielded financial benefits for Morrisons. Nearly half of customers purchasing a Surprise Bag also make an in-store purchase, contributing to a £3 million increase in basket spend. This additional revenue demonstrates the commercial viability of sustainability efforts, creating a win-win situation for both the retailer and its customers.
